Made a quick stop in Mobile this week, and ate at a cool new place called "The Bull" on Dauphin Street (the real home of Mardi Gras).

We had pouring rain on Wednesday, and tornadoes by the farm, but I was gone.

A friend drove me from Mobile to the airport in Gulfport, MS to catch a plane to Austin for a taping of the Central Texas Gardener (CTG). I would much rather have been going to Acapulco!!!!

Amy picked me up from the airport in Austin, theTexas Capital......

....and then dropped me off at KLRU to film CTG, with Tom Spencer as the host. The show aired last fall, too.

KLRU on the University of Texas campus is also where Austin City Limits is filmed.

The weather was perfect for a walking tour of Austin.

The dog park was active...

We ran into a group of bikers...

....and also some turtles soaking up the sun.

We saw some pretty homes in Austin....and this Elm tree silhouetted against the blue sky.

Caught a train to New Orleans to get home. We stopped in San Antonio for a couple hours so I walked over to Denny's to grab a quick bite to eat of some healthy food!! And maybe check out the River Walk. Wow!!! Busy Day....

Here's a song from Willie Nelson:

"Good morning America how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son,
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done."
