Hymenocallis 'Tropical Giant'

Unlike other varieties of Hymenocallis, this bulb tends to be the most versatile and cold hardy. Often called a spider lily along the Gulf Regions of the South, the foliage is long, strong, crisp, dark green and keeps itself clean-looking. In the summer, around June, spidery white blooms appear in an extremely prolific manner. During the height of their bloom they appear like solid balls of white from a distance. As one of the most cold hardy varieties for this semi-tropical plant, they are known for multipling quickly. The foliage will get tall however, sometimes reaching as high as 3-4 feet.
