Narcissus jonquilla Nothing compares to the fragrance and solid gold color of daffodils in naturalized plantings. Expanding both through seed and propagation, the Jonquil is often seen spreading over wide pastures and naturalized gardens alike. There is a wide genetic variation amongst this rapid multiplier, and it is a pollen parent to some of our most treasured hybrids such as the Campernelle, Texas Star and many others. Varieties in the South appear to be a strain all their own, which is a new addition to the oldest cultivated plants in history. As a good "rule of thumb" for most bulbs, plant this bulb at a depth three times the height of the bulb.
Let this Jonquil set seed.
