2 Yellow Spider Lily Bulbs:
Lycoris aurea "Yellow Spider Lily"
The yellow spider lily is a rare Asian beauty that glows yellow-gold like the sun with exotic, tropical blooms. Softball sized flowers stand atop 18-24'' stalks. Add intriguing texture and new life to your fall landscape with the yellow spider lily. The yellow spider lily is for warmer climates.
The yellow or "golden" spider Lily (Lycoris aurea) hails from Asia and is hard to come by. It is in the Lycoris family, right along with the Red Spider Lily, but tends to bloom later in the fall after the red spider lily. It will multiply over time and requires full sun to part shade in the winter to continue growing, blooming, and multiplying. We recommend planting 4-6 bulbs per square foot for a dense display. The bulb will most likely require a year in your soil before it blooms, but you should see foliage January-February of 2012, then blooms mid-fall of 2012.
The yellow spider lily is a hard to find bulb and is available in limited quantities; we have a single crop this year. So, grab yours while you can!
Plus 10 Spanish Bluebell Bulbs:
Hyacinthoides hispanicus "Spanish Bluebells"
Spanish bluebells that cover ditches in England can also be seen thriving in abandoned sites as well as manicured gardens across the South. Their rich blue color, easy care, and stately form make them a favorite among many. Bulbs will reproduce rapidly and seem to prefer slightly wooded areas. Pass along to friends after bulbs have quickly multiplied for a large April color impact..
